NEXUS
Chain-of-custody and platform data infrastructure.
What NEXUS is
NEXUS™ is Alnitak Resources's proprietary chain-of-custody and platform data infrastructure. It is the connective tissue that runs across every platform we operate, capturing operational, environmental, social, and governance data continuously and producing audit-grade reports against the underwriting standards that institutional capital and multilateral development finance institutions require.
NEXUS is not an off-the-shelf ERP, nor a third-party ESG reporting tool. It is a purpose-built platform designed for the specific data architecture that sovereign-aligned mineral platforms require — combining the operational discipline of an industrial ERP, the audit logic of an institutional risk and compliance system, and the chain-of-custody traceability that traceable mineral supply chains demand from origin through to refined product.
What this infrastructure addresses
The institutional capital partners and multilateral development finance institutions that fund strategic mineral platforms operate under underwriting standards — IFC Performance Standards, the Equator Principles, the ICMM Principles, the World Gold Council's Responsible Gold Mining Principles — that demand continuous, audit-grade evidence of environmental, social, and operational performance before capital flows and continuously thereafter. They cannot underwrite what they cannot measure. And they cannot measure what is not captured at the point of operation in a structured, tamper-evident, exportable form.
Most operating mineral assets cannot meet this standard. The data exists in fragmented spreadsheets, paper logs, and disconnected operational systems — sufficient for production reporting, insufficient for institutional underwriting. NEXUS exists to close that gap by design rather than by retrofit.
How NEXUS operates
NEXUS deploys at the operating-company layer of every Alnitak Resources platform. From the moment ore is delivered to a processing campus, every operational event is captured: tonnage received, source license verification, assay results, processing throughput, recovery yields, reagent consumption, water and energy use, employment and contractor data, environmental monitoring, community engagement, regulatory filings.
Each data point is timestamped, attributed, and cryptographically anchored, producing a continuous audit trail across every operation. The data is structured to support concurrent reporting against multiple frameworks — IFC Performance Standards, ICMM Principles, World Gold Council Responsible Gold Mining Principles, host-nation regulatory requirements, and counterparty-specific reporting obligations — without re-keying, reformatting, or post-hoc reconstruction.
Every operating company on an Alnitak Resources platform signs a NEXUS Master Service Agreement that governs the deployment. The MSA establishes the data standards, the reporting obligations, the audit rights, and the institutional integrity controls that the platform requires.
What NEXUS produces
For sovereign partners, NEXUS produces continuous regulatory reporting against host-nation requirements, supporting tax compliance, mineral export documentation, and national mineral strategy reporting without operational friction.
For institutional capital and multilateral development finance partners, NEXUS produces audit-grade ESG, operational, and chain-of-custody reporting against the underwriting standards that govern their capital deployment. Underwriting that would otherwise require extensive site visits, document requests, and discretionary judgment becomes structured, continuous, and verifiable.
For offtake counterparties, NEXUS produces traceable provenance documentation that supports premium-priced offtake into supply chains where mercury-tainted, conflict-affected, or non-traceable production is excluded.
For Alnitak Resources, NEXUS produces portfolio-level visibility across every platform we operate, supporting capital allocation decisions, risk management, and the kind of integrated reporting that turns a collection of assets into a coherent platform.
